Dump Upgrades

2026 Dump Trailer Innovations

Join Trevor and the engineering team as they walk through the heavy-duty upgrades behind the 2026 lineup, including a massive 44% increase in lifting power, new sacrificial hemlock sideboards, and our redesigned over-center latches.

Scroll down for a closer look at the specific hardware and design updates for 2026.

New Gate Holdback Design

New Heavy-Duty Gate Holdbacks

Standard on all 2026 SL Series dump trailers, our redesigned gate holdbacks are built to last in real jobsite conditions.

They now include a fully enclosed HSS spring housing to protect the mechanism from mud, gravel, and debris. We also added galvanized steel strike plates to resist rust and deliver a secure, reliable lock every time you open the barn doors.

Why it matters: Less corrosion, fewer sticking gates, and more long-term reliability.

Taller 8-Inch Sideboards

Extended 8" Sideboards

More depth means better containment. For 2026, models including the SL610, SL612, and SL714 now come standard with taller 8-inch sideboards.

These integrated boards help you haul bulk material with fewer spills while keeping a clean, low-profile look with our updated sideboard gussets.

Why it matters: More material per load, less mess, and better control on the job site.

SL610-10K New A-Frame

Redesigned A-Frames & Steps

We shortened the A-frame on the SL610 and SL612 by about 8 inches to improve maneuverability in tight residential spaces.

2026 models also feature a redesigned rear step with integrated light holes and a bolt-on galvanized front step for safer access.

Why it matters: Easier towing in tight spots and safer, more confident trailer access.

Hardware Upgrades

Precision Hardware Upgrades

Our proven 70,000 lb shear-strength slam latch delivers the strength contractors trust on demanding job sites.

For 2026, we added all-new tarp hooks for easier load covering and a heavy-duty over-center latch system for added strength and control.

If a gate gets bent or slightly out of alignment, the over-center latch lets you pull it back into place and secure it tight. It can also function as a spreader when needed.

Why it matters: Faster, tighter closure and better control when things get rough on site.

6-Inch Scissor Hoist

SL714 Series: Upgraded 6" Scissor Hoist

The 2026 SL714-14K and 14KHS models now feature a heavy-duty 6" scissor hoist, upgraded from the previous 5" system for increased lifting power and durability.

We also moved the D-rings to the corners to maximize usable floor space and upgraded the rear door panels to 2-inch thickness for added strength.

Why it matters: More lifting force, better load control, and stronger rear support under heavy material.

Royal Cargo Upgrades

2026 Gas Shock Ramp Assist - Royal Cargo

2026 Gas Shock Ramp Assist

After more than 3.5 years of testing and refinement, our custom-designed gas shock ramp assist is built for real jobsite conditions — not just showroom floors.

  • Tested over 30,000 full open-and-close actuations
  • One actuation equals one full ramp up and down — up to 10 years of daily use
  • Field tested in salt, mud, dirt, and deep freezing conditions
  • No loss of strength or performance after rigorous durability testing
  • Sealed oil chamber with double seals to protect the shaft
  • Nitrogen and oil-filled design for smooth, controlled lifting
  • Custom-matched shock specs for different ramp door weights
  • No exposed cables taking up ramp space

Why it matters: Smooth lifting in winter. No seized shocks. No cable clutter. Just dependable performance year after year.
