A thick floor is only as good as what supports it. If a heavy plate rests on short crossmembers with gaps between them, the plate can still dip under hard loads. Southland pairs the 3/16 inch HD floor with engineered lengthwise sills. These sills support the main cargo area in long lines, helping the floor stay flatter under dense material and equipment loads. Supporting the plate along its length helps reduce sagging and low spots where material can collect. A flatter surface also helps gravel, clay, and debris release more cleanly during unloading.
